PDF Download Problems
-
Q: Why do I get an error when viewing or printing certain pages within a ".pdf" document? I receive the message, "There was an error processing a page".
A: There is a newer feature used within that page which can only be viewed or printed using a more recent version of Adobe Acrobat Reader. You must download the latest version which is available free of charge from the following URL:

Q: What does it mean when I am downloading and receive an error that says, "data decryption error"?
A: This is an error which occurs when using a MAC computer with an Internet Explorer browser. Additionally, it also occurs in older MAC browsers when entering encrypted pages such as login pages. Usually, errors are fixed by the browser developers but Microsoft no longer supports IE for MAC so this will be a persistent problem.
Solution #1: right-click on the link and select "Save target as..". This will enable you to save the file to your hard drive in a location that you prefer, such as your desktop. Then you may open it from there by double-clicking on it. That way you won't be opening it from your browser and the error won't occur.
Solution #2: If you have a browser other than IE, go ahead and use that one to access laschools.org and download the desired file.
Solution #3: Download another browser which is compatible with your system and use that one to access laschools.org and download the desired file. You can find the compatible browswers for your MAC system at the following link: http://guides.macrumors.com/Web_Browsers_for_the_Mac
If you try the above solutions and are still having difficulty, email the webmaster to let us know.

Q: Why am I loading a blank page when I try to download a PDF document?
A: If it's loading a blank it's almost certainly your browser plug-in. You can do one of the following to solve your problem.
- Right-click on the link for download and select "save target as.." for Internet Explorer or "save link as" for most other browsers. This will save the file to somewhere on your hard drive. You can open it up from there since you won't be using the browser plug-in. You will be opening with Adobe Acrobat reader directly.
- Fix the problem by downloading the latest edition of Adobe Acrobat Read at the following URL: http://www.adobe.com/products/reader/
